FAVORITE TOOLS: Palomino Blackwing pencils, BIC mechanical pencils, Pigma Micron pens, heavy body acrylic paints, fine pumice gel, smooth bristol board and regular old printer paper.
INSPIRATIONS: Early mornings, cold weather, cats, dogs, underground comix, alternative manga, visionary and outsider art.
MY PREFERRED MEDIUMS: Drawing, painting, printmaking (screen printing, risograph, relief), animation, video.
A NOTE ON BEING "ONLINE"
I'm conflicted about existing online. It seems to me online presence is just self-surveillance marketed to us as self-expression. I'm unsure if things like social media and the internet have been net positives or negatives for society, but lately I'm leaning towards the latter. However, I have to admit I've experienced good things because of the internet too. To deny that reality would be dishonest. Part of my personal philosophy involves the struggle to assimilate contradiction and paradox. Hence, the existence of this website and me being here, despite the aforementioned caveats...
I really can't say for sure how much of "myself" will be discernable among these pages, but I'll let the observer (you) be the judge of that.
